For your initial post to this discussion: •Identify a population of clients typically seen in family therapy that you find interesting. For example, if your topic is addictions, you might want to research how addictive behavior affects parenting. •For the selected population, develop a quantitative or qualitative research question. For example, a quantitative question could be: To what extent is there a relationship between parental addiction to alcohol and the disciplinary problems children experience in kindergarten? A qualitative question could be: How do adolescents experience living in a household where one or both parents are addicted to alcohol? •For the selected population and research question, provide a paragraph description of the type of research you would use to explore the issue: ◾Phenomenological, grounded study, ethnography, or case study for qualitative. ◾Correlational, experimental, or quasi-experimental for quantitative.

•Write a paragraph explaining why you chose the approach you did.

Your initial post must cite at least two references and be at least 250 words in length, not counting the reference list or a repetition of the discussion topic. Cite your sources in APA 6th edition format.
