McDonalds Strategic Issues Strategic Issue #1 What is the issue? There is a mismatch with McDonald’s organization strategy and those used in the franchises. There is need to reinvigorate the strategies employed by the franchises to revive the competitive thrust. Consequently, there is poor communication between the franchises and McDonald’s Company. Why this is an issue? The franchises are not delivering their customers feedback so that the parent company can change its strategies to fit that of the customers. Lack of coordination will hinder the success of McDonald’s. Strategic Issue #2 What is the issue? McDonald’s has had five CEOs since 1999, and this is not healthy for a company. just wanted to add that I think it’s worth noting that 2/5 CEO’s were replaced because they passed away suddenly, not because they were unfit to do the job (apparently McDonald’s just has bad luck with CEOs?!) Why is this an issue? Each CEO has their way of doing things in the firm. Different management is a hindrance to the development of a company since it encompasses new strategies that may or may not match with the organization’s policies. For this reason, there will be a reduction in sales of the company.
